
Magnet Coordinator
Chantay Cardy is proud to enter her sixth year as the Magnet Theme Coordinator at KO Knudson Academy of the Arts. With 17 years of experience in education, she began her teaching journey at Rancho High School and later taught at Shadow Ridge before joining the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. Throughout her career, she has taught a wide range of Social Studies courses—from History of Popular Music to Advanced Placement World History—reflecting her dedication to both academic rigor and creative engagement.

Ms. Cardy holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Oregon, where she also earned her Master’s Degree in Education. A lifelong supporter of the arts, she has sung in choirs since childhood and remains an enthusiastic advocate for the Arts.

Driven by a passion for cultural exploration, she enjoys traveling and immersing herself in diverse traditions and histories. For Ms. Cardy, few experiences are more fulfilling than working with students who share her love for the arts and a commitment to meaningful learning.
