Chantay Cardy is excited to begin her 5th year as the Magnet Theme Coordinator at KO. She started her teaching career 15 years ago at Rancho High School, then moved to Shadow Ridge, and finally to the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts teaching a variety of Social Studies courses- from History of Popular Music to Advanced Placement World History.  She earned her BA in History and Political Science at the University of Oregon, then continued there to finish her Masters Degree in Education. She has always been a fan of the arts, singing in choirs all through school, and participating in and supporting musical theatre at every chance. She loves to travel and learn about different cultures. And cannot think of anything more rewarding than working with children who also love the arts and education.
